Texas Historical Markers on the campus of SFA

Texas Historical Marker #13945 was placed in front of the Austin Building in a wooded area known in Mrs. Baker's youth as Owl Woods. It is part of the original 1920s campus. Mrs. Baker wrote a poem to this area entitled "The Pine Tree Hymn" which became the words to the college's first school song.
