of Historic Places a service of the National Park Service. Their National
Register Database is also available via telnet. Their Links
to the Past is also a good page.
- National Trust for Historic Preservation
(NTHP) and the NTHP Library offer good links
to preservation of communities and main street projects. It includes a list
of the most endangered historic places.
- National Center for Preservation
Technology and Training (NCPTT) promotes and enhances the preservation
of historic resources. It is run by National Park Service (NPS) to advance
the art and science of historic preservation. Because of its mission and
its home location in Natchitoches, Louisianna (the sister city to Nacogdoches),
this site is very good for listings under such headings as archaeology,
conservation, and history.
- Society for the Preservation
of Natural History Collections (SPNHC)
