Using the WWW in Local and Family History Research
IntroductionThe mission of the Center for East Texas Studies is to promote all aspects of the heritage of East Texas. As part of this mission, the Center is initiating a new service for East Texans: PastPort. PastPort is an online help program designed to aid East Texans and others in doing research in local and family history via the World Wide Web.
Navigation of the Web is easy, but visualization of the linking system is sometimes confusing. Some of the links within PastPort are used more than once; other links take you off to other parts of the nation and world.
